Away

She wished to be free,
To feel the world fade away,
To no longer hear their affray,
So she took her bike and left.

She rode for hours,
Felt the wind through her hair,
Heard the click of the gears,
And the crunch of leaves beneath her.

She looks for silence,
A corner that's for her, and only her,
Some place where she can be a believer
Of a Disney happily ever after.
